Bourbon-Q Chicken Sliders


Ingredients for Bourbon-Q Sauce:
1 cup bourbon or whiskey
½ cup melted butter
1 finely diced onion
1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce

Ingredients for Chicken:
½ cup Papa Jacks Fin & Feather Marinade
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Directions:
Step 1: Make the Bourbon-Q Sauce
Sauté the onions: In a pan over medium-high heat, sauté the finely diced onion in the melted butter until the onions are translucent.
Add bourbon: Pour in the bourbon and reduce the heat to medium. Simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the alcohol cook off and the flavors blend.
Whisk in barbecue sauce: Stir in your favorite barbecue sauce, whisking well to combine all the ingredients. Set the sauce aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken: In a bowl, season the chicken thighs with black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Add the Papa Jacks Fin & Feather Marinade and toss to coat the chicken evenly.

Cook the chicken:
Grill or Bake method: Preheat your oven or grill to 300°F. Cook the chicken thighs for about 40-50 minutes (oven) or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Slow cooker method: Place the seasoned chicken thighs into a slow cooker. Cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.

Step 3: Assemble the Sliders
Once the chicken is fully cooked, pour the prepared Bourbon-Q Sauce over the hot chicken.
Serve: Shred the chicken and serve it on slider buns for delicious Bourbon-Q Chicken Sliders
