FAQ

Q: After applying the marinade, is it necessary to wait for a certain amount of time prior to cooking?

A: No waiting is needed.  Papa Jacks absorbs instantly, so food can be cooked immediately after applying.  If desired, however, marinated food can be stored in the refrigerator until ready to cook.

Q: Is it necessary for food to be fully covered or submerged to achieve full flavor and tenderness?

A:  Covering or submerging is not necessary.  Simply apply a light coat of Papa Jacks (we recommend ~2 Tbsp per pound of meat or vegetables) to the surface and spread evenly with a pastry brush.

Q: Can Papa Jacks be injected into larger or thicker cuts of meat?

A: Yes.  If desired, Papa Jacks can be injected into larger cuts of meat such as brisket or pork roast to achieve extra flavor.  As an alternative to injecting, a second coat of Papa Jacks can be applied 5-10 minutes after the first coat to achieve extra flavor.

Q: Can Papa Jacks be used as a dipping or finishing sauce?

B: No.  Papa Jacks is intended to be used as a marinade only, and not for direct consumption.  Please use only as directed and follow the instructions as provided.

Q: Can the marinades be used interchangeably? For example, can the Root & Vine marinade be used on meats?

A: While the marinades were formulated to pair with certain foods to achieve a specific flavor profile, we encourage you to experiment and be creative!   Feel free to post on our blog page or tag us on Facebook to showcase your culinary creations!
